The DGO Blog Remit

This blog covers current developments in the domain of scholarly and general audience publishing, topical issues in scholarly and other journals across various publishing models, including but not limited to Open Access, recently published academic, scholarly, and educational books and digital resources related to Social Sciences, Humanities, and related subject areas.

Initially, this blog has been launched under the De Gruyter Open (DGO) name, while focusing on Open Access and Open Science. Over time, this blog has lost its connection to the De Gruyter Brill publishing house. Officially, in recent years, it has been renamed as the Data Governance Open (DGO) blog and appears under this name in the Hypotheses catalogue.

The relaunch of this blog under the abbreviated name as the DGO Blog both acknowledges its origin and widens its remit beyond Open Access or Open Science to other academic, educational and scholarly publishing models and subject areas.
